If you are in search of peace and tranquillity off the beaten track and away from the crowds then look no further, the Kestrel Lodge Campsite has all this and much more. Located just below Skiddaw in amongst the splendour of the northern fells and some of the very best fell walking routes the Lake District has to offer. Tick nine Wainrights off without even getting in the car. Alternatively, scan the skies for the family of Ospreys who live nearby, or just sit back and enjoy being away from it all. What more could you ask for? Please see the site map for yurt locations.
A little further afield but just 15 minutes drive away are the towns of Keswick and Cockermouth. Packed full of shops, cafes, restaurants and all manner of other attractions there’s certainly something here for everyone. The site also boasts close proximity to six of the county’s lakes, ideal for spot of wild swimming, beautiful picnic spots, photography or just an opportunity to sit and enjoy being in nature. Back at the yurt if you can drag your self away from the crackle of the open fire there’s a great local pub a short walk away where you can enjoy good food and fine local ales.
The Kestrel Lodge site has three 18ft Yurts comfortably accommodating six persons per Yurt. A beautiful site proving a quiet retreat for families, friends and couples alike.
