Mosedale End Farm Bed & Breakfast offers you a true rural escape — spacious, quiet and surrounded by nature. Wake to sweeping views of Lakeland fells as you enjoy a leisurely start to your day because you can enjoy breakfast whenever you choose.
If you select our breakfast option, a delicious breakfast hamper is delivered directly to your door each morning, allowing you to enjoy a lie-in before tucking into homemade bread, drops scones, and other Cumbrian treats at your own pace. Fresh milk and delicious homemade cake will also be waiting in your room fridge on arrival because to truly experience Cumbria you simply must try farmhouse baking!
Each of the 3 bedrooms in our traditional Lakeland stone-built farmhouse feature a handy kitchenette, perfect for preparing simple meals and midnight snacks. Or why not enjoy an evening spread of wine and local cheese after a day exploring the Lakes. Just be sure to take a moment to go outside and breathe in the fresh fell air and absorb the majestic scenery – it is truly a truly magical place.
Ready to explore? Mosedale End Farm is the perfect base for discovering the Lake District. Walk straight from the door over the fells so loved by Alfred Wainwright, or drive the winding Honister Pass. If you are feeling adventurous why not take on the challenge of the renowned via ferrata at Honister Slate Mine. Or opt for a picnic on the shores of Ullswater, one of the Lake District’s most picturesque lakes, is only a 20-minute drive from the farm, whilst the vibrant market town of Keswick is 14 miles away.
Mosedale End Farm offers three beautifully comfortable traditional farmhouse guest rooms, accommodating between one and three guests. Two rooms can include an additional guest bed if required. Every room includes:
It is important to us that you feel at home here and you are very welcome to enjoy the outdoor space-“The View” .This is a special outdoor area where you can relax beside the fire pit while watching the spring lambs in the fields or maybe an owl flying over the summer hay meadows. Also, on the farm you’ll also find a well-stocked honesty fridge in the boot room for pack lunches or opt for a sharing platters for two featuring delicious local produce from our favourite butcher and deli counter. We want you to enjoy a taste of Cumbria because the local produce is outstanding.
Several traditional country pubs can also be found nearby, with the closest located only 2 miles from the farm — an easy 30-minute walk along quiet country roads.

Driving Directions Please be careful as some Sat Nav`s will take you to a holiday cottage around the corner. Find us on google maps. Leave the M6 at J40 (Penrith) and take the A66 west to Keswick for approx 10 miles. Take the right turn for Mungrisdale and Caldbeck. Drive approx 4 miles on to Mosedale. (You will pass through Mungrisdale, passing the Mill Inn on your left). Proceed through Mosedale village, sat nav`s will tell you to turn left for Swineside, THIS IS WRONG. Mosedale End Farm is the last house in the village on the left, hence our name - Mosedale End Farm. Mosedale End Farm is a traditional Lake District white farm house and is set back off the road, behind its own private yard where you may park your car.
