Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park is situated near the southern tip of lake Windermere. Surrounded by woodland and wildlife, the park provides a tranquil base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District National Park.
We offer a variety of accommodation to suit a range of tastes and budgets.
There’s a collection of two and three bedroom caravans equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our accessible caravan is dog-friendly and features ramped access, a separate wet room, and low level appliances. For further details please visit our website. There are two lodges to choose from. Cartmel Lodge will accommodate up to six guests, while Fellside Lodge will sleep four. Both have their own garden, perfect for dining outside on those warm and sunny days. Dog-friendly Haverthwaite Cottage is great for families offering a double and twin and two bathrooms. Sleeping up to four guests, The Hive Cabins are a great alternative and offer two double sofa beds. Dog-friendly options available.
The pretty village of Cartmel is just a short distance from the park. Famously home to Cartmel Racecourse and that delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding, Cartmel also offers a fantastic selection of dining and shopping experiences, a beautiful 12th-century priory, and plenty of walks in the picturesque surrounding countryside. A little further afield is the small coastal town of Grange-over-Sands. On a clear day, enjoy walking along the long promenade and looking out over the Morecambe Bay sands with the Lakeland fells forming the backdrop. The bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere is approximately 20 minutes by car. Enjoy views of iconic fells from the shores of Windermere, an array of restaurants and pubs, familiar and independent shops, plus visitor attractions.
As you would expect, the Lake District offers a range of superb walking routes. Gentle strolls around the picture-perfect lakes, a ramble over the rolling hills or perhaps a challenging climb into the fells, there’s something for everyone. And when you don't wish to venture far, or prefer to leave the car behind, there are a number of lovely walking trails from the park to be explored.
Whether you’re on an action packed holiday with family, a romantic getaway, spending some quality time with your four-legged friend, or leisurely catching up with friends, we look forward to welcoming you to Newby Bridge Country Caravan Park.
