About

Nestled in the heart of the Lake District National Park between Windermere and Ambleside, Broadoaks Country House is the perfect blend of quintessential British charm and refined luxury. Surrounded by seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and majestic woodland, our location offers breathtaking views across to Windermere and The Langdale Pikes, creating an idyllic backdrop for an unforgettable afternoon tea experience in the Lake District.

Tucked just far enough from the well-trodden paths, Broadoaks feels like a world away, yet remains easily accessible. A short ride from the main road at Troutbeck Bridge, reach us by car, or the £2 bus followed by a ten-minute walk up a scenic lane that brings you to our hidden gem.

At Broadoaks, afternoon tea is served in the traditional manner on a three-tiered plate, featuring a selection of handmade cakes and sandwiches, meticulously prepared by our accomplished team of chefs. Each bite is a testament to our commitment to quality and taste, ensuring a delightful culinary journey.

We pride ourselves on inclusivity and exceptional service, catering to all dietary requirements without compromising on flavour or presentation. Whether you need gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan options, our kitchen team will ensure your experience is perfect in every way.

Broadoaks is an award-winning dog-friendly venue, and we warmly welcome your four-legged companions in our bar area. Enjoy your afternoon tea knowing your pet can share in the charming ambiance of our country house hotel.
