About

L'Enclume is Simon Rogan's iconic restaurant in The Lakes, where culinary creativity harnesses the powerful connection between food and nature.

Known for its truly unique offering in the UK restaurant scene, both for the warm, informed service style and innovative dishes and for the provenance of the ingredients. In 2009 Simon set up a farm entirely dedicated to producing the finest, local ingredients for the ever-evolving L’Enclume menu.

Since opening, the restaurant has won two Michelin stars alongside many other prestigious awards and has been hailed ‘best restaurant in the UK’ for four consecutive years by the esteemed Good Food Guide.

L’Enclume has 16 elegant, individually designed, bedrooms located around the village of Cartmel, each designed in their own unique style while retaining references to their historic surroundings.

Aulis at L’Enclume provides a truly unique ‘behind the scenes’ experience of the Michelin-star institution. Aulis is a multi-functional high-tech space that acts as a development kitchen utilised by chefs to explore new dishes and cooking techniques, but also an exclusive, intimate and interactive private dining room for L’Enclume guests.
