The Bluebird Cafe, Coniston boasts an idyllic location on the shores of Coniston Water. Open daily throughout the year from 9.30 till 4.30, the cafe serves a delicious selection of freshly prepared, locally sourced food, including our popular homemade soups and cakes from our in house bakery. The perfect place to take a break, relax and enjoy the outstanding views across Coniston Water. You can also enjoy a trip on SY Gondola or one of the Coniston Launches or hire a self drive motor boat from Coniston Boating Centre, situated next door. With seating for 140+ people including an outside covered and heated glass terrace area, The Bluebird Cafe is excellent in all weathers. Your canine companions are also made very welcome with free dog biscuits and doggy items on the menu. There is plenty of onsite parking.
There is also a little sister cafe on the shores of Windermere Lake, in the tourist information centre Bowness, serving a tasty snack menu selection, homemade cakes and fresh barista coffee.
