Michelin Star, cosy gourmet getaway nestled in Whinlatter Forest, serving delicious food using the finest ingredients from Cumbria and further afield.
The kitchen is led by Head Chef Sam Miller who has a true passion for Northern produce and delights in bringing the tastes of the local terroir to the table, with seasonally foraged elements and through working closely with artisan suppliers and farmers.
With over two decades of culinary experience, and a career that includes Europe’s top restaurants , Sam’s sophisticated flavour pairings and exemplary attention to detail is renowned.
The ideal place to enjoy an epicurean experience and feel the benefits of being surrounded by the great outdoors, with mountain views to Skiddaw and regular visits to the garden from red squirrels and native wildlife. With nine contemporary rooms offering woodland or garden views, it’s a haven of tranquillity and relaxation.
