Enjoy a luxury dining experience during your time in the Lake District. Our first floor restaurant, The Dining Room, benefits from stunning views of Grasmere Lake from every window, and the contemporary menu on offer provides the perfect Lake District dining experience with a modern twist.
The walls are dotted with portraits of famous faces taken from the National Portrait Gallery and are organised into three themes: popular celebrities, the 1960s, and people who made us laugh. We hope you enjoy the company!
Chef Graham began his journey at 16 in a small kitchen, where he learned resilience and precision from day one. His philosophy? Simple, quality ingredients—always butter, cream, and salt—create the best flavours. Known for blending comfort food with fine dining, his current favourite dish is Shetland salmon with herb-crushed potatoes. Inspired by mentor Drew Heron and chef Thomas Keller, Graham values meals as a journey, not just sustenance.

By car, from the south of England, take the M6 to junction 36 and follow signs for Kendal on the A590, then the A591 toward Grasmere. From Scotland, follow the M74, then join the M6 southbound, exiting at junction 40 for Penrith, and follow the A592 toward Keswick, then A591 to Grasmere.
