Carlisle Racecourse is located just off the M6 (Junction 42) and is only a few miles from Carlisle City Centre. What 3 words; hogs.clay.impact From the North and South Leave M6 Motorway at Junction 42, Take the exit onto London Road, Continue on London Road past ASDA, Turn Left onto St Nicholas Street, Continue to Mini Roundabout then take 3rd Exit onto Blackwell Road, Take First Exit at Next Mini Roundabout onto Blackwell Road, Continue up Blackwell/Durdar Road until you reach the Racecourse. From the East Take A69 or A66 to M6 motorway. Join the M6 and leave at junction 42 and follow directions above. From the West Travel along the A595 following signs for Carlisle. Continue along this road and take the 3rd exit at the next roundabout. Follow the road past the Garden Centre and turn left at the junction. Follow this road and at T-junction in Dalston turn right. Follow road until you reach Bridge End pub. Turn left over the bridge and follow signs for Durdar. Come to a new roundabout and go straight over. Stay on this road and it will bring you onto Durdar road with the racecourse on your left. The postcode for the sat nav is CA2 4TS.
Bus Number 64 Bus operated by StageCoach passes the racecourse. After racing we have a shuttle bus that runs 20 minutes after the final race and then 30 minutes after that. It will drop you off on English Street. Train The racecourse is 2.2 miles from Carlisle Station, a major station on the West Coast Main Line, lying 102 miles south of Glasgow Central, and 299 miles north of London Euston. There is a taxi rank just outside of the train station, the racecourse is only a short taxi ride or a slightly longer walk away.
