About

Come and visit Carlisle Cathedral at the heart of the Great Border City, and discover over 900 years of extraordinary history; our famous starlight ceiling; our treasury exhibition; active family trails and a variety of events including talks, concerts, exhibitions and more.

Whilst here you can walk through the beautiful monastic gardens, enjoy refreshments in our award-winning café and shop for all occasions in our unique gift shop.

The Cathedral is open every day. Please do join us at our services, which take place three times a day. For full information please visit our website.

Whatever your faith, or no faith at all, we look forward to welcoming you.
