About

There's something for everyone at Coniston Boating Centre, both on and off the water

You can hire motor boats, rowing boats, sailing dinghies, canoes and paddleboards to explore the lake in a style that suits you. We have a wheelchair-accessible boat for those with less mobility. For land-based adventures, have a wheely good time on a mountain bike or zoom off on our exciting new electric bikes. Trailers and tagalongs are available. Or just enjoy the tranquillity and sit by the lake with refreshments from the Bluebird Café. Whatever the weather, whatever your ability, there is something for you at Coniston Boating Centre. Book online at our website or just turn up!

Motor boats

Let our electric motor boats take the strain. Enjoy one of the Lake District's most beautiful lakes in peace and quiet. Our motor boats seat up to eight people.

Rowing boats

Hire a rowing boat from Coniston Boating Centre and explore Coniston Water, one of the Lake District's most beautiful lakes.

Canoe hire

For the more experienced. Paddle out in one of our open-top Canadian canoes, seating two or three people.

Kayak hire

Sit on top kayaks are made from lightweight plastic and are great fun for beginners! Be prepared to get a bit wet. For one or two people.

Paddle boards

Stand up and balance on our exciting paddle boards - show off, paddle off, and possibly fall off! Single passenger only.

Sailing dinghies

If you can sail, you can hire one of our sailing boats. We have Wayfarers and Hawk 20s.
What better way to follow in the wake of Swallows and Amazons?
