About

The Lake District Coast Aquarium opened in May 1997 and contains 90+ themed tanks containing a collection of the diverse marine life found around the Cumbrian and UK coastline. We also have our Wild Solway exhibition centre with film theatre as well as our new Sea Lab which opened July 2015.

There is also our Harbourside Cafe which serves a variety of freshly prepared snacks, main meals and drinks with views overlooking the harbour. Dogs now welcome! Also, our Gift Shop is always stocked with a variety of gifts to suit all ages.
Our Bait Shop, which opened in 2013 and has had a recent refurbishment, is also proving to be very popular among fishermen, whether they are local or just visiting the area on holiday!
Outside we have our 14 hole Crazy Golf course, remote controlled boats and there is also the Shiver Me Timbers playpark.

Opening Times

* We are open every day 10am – 5pm, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
