About

Hawk & Owl Centre

Set in the beautiful gardens of Muncaster Castle, the Hawk & Owl Centre offers exhilarating bird of prey flying displays daily from Easter to Christmas plus the wild heron feed daily year-round.

With conservation of wildlife at its heart, and working in partnership with the Hawk Conservancy Trust, the Centre aims to excite and educate visitors of all ages about these winged predators.

Learn about the birds - You can see our birds in their aviaries in the centre. There are information boards about each one to help you learn more about them but our bird team are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

All of our birds have a role in our flying displays so depending on the time of day, please note that you may find that a number of them are absent from the Centre.

We strongly suggest that you time your visit to see one or more of our sensational bird of prey displays, at weekends in winter, twice daily in the main season (although due to current restrictions this is at present only the morning display with limited numbers - please visit our Opening Times page for the latest what's open), and the wild heron feed too.

We recommend visitors with disabilities contact us before their arrival for advice.
Dogs are welcome on site but can't enter the castle or Owl Centre.
