Discover the Lake District after dark on an unforgettable canoe journey across beautiful Coniston Water. As daylight fades, paddle across the peaceful lake surrounded by the dramatic Coniston mountains and some of the Lake District's most spectacular scenery.
Family session is in rafted canoes. This is a stable raft which makes it fun, easy and safe for families to get around and have fun on the water.
Your adventure begins in daylight, giving you plenty of time to get comfortable in the canoe, learn the basics and build your confidence on the water before heading off to explore the lake.
As dusk turns to darkness, we'll find a quiet, secluded bay where we can stop for a well-earned hot brew and gaze up at the night sky.
We'll take time to look up at the stars, spot constellations and, when conditions are right, enjoy incredible views of the Milky Way stretching across the dark Lake District sky. On less starry nights we use stargazing apps to look through the clouds and pass on our knowledge of how to navigate and identify constellations in the night sky.
Paddle home across the inky waters guided by the light of glow sticks and your local expert guides.
Peaceful, atmospheric and a little bit magical, Dark Sky Canoeing is an adventure you won't forget.
