Join us for a short, guided nighttime family walk up to a viewpoint where you'll be able to stargaze with the Eddington Astronomical Society. Learn about nocturnal wildlife and how we can all reduce nighttime lighting to help them.
Terrain: Paved footpaths through town, then some steeper, cobbled paths including a number of steps to reach the viewpoint. Flat grass surface for the stargazing.
What to wear and what to bring: Check the weather forecast. Waterproofs if it looks like rain. Sturdy footwear (walking boots, robust trainers or similar). Please also bring a head torch. There are no dogs permitted on the walk.
This walk will be led by Friends of the Lake District engagement lead, Kelley Sproston-Heath.
Bookings for this event will open on 1st November.
