The Cumbria Young Farmers (YFC) annual field day is the largest competitive event of the organisations calendar. Serving as a showcase of rural skills, teamwork and agriculture tradition. Competitions vary and include competitions such as: sheep shearing, machine handling and skills, woodwork, tug of war, obstacle course and industrial competitions such as baking, arts and crafts. Local food and ice cream vendors will also be in attendance.
