Discover 200 years of Rock Climbing history, from the earliest scrambles to the modern sport we know today at our latest community gallery exhibition, in partnership with the Mountain Heritage Trust.
To honour this incredible milestone, the Mountain Heritage Trust has developed an exhibition called Pillar Rock and Beyond: 200 Years of Rock Climbing. Whether you are an active climber, a weekend fell-walker, or a history buff, you won't want to miss the story of how our local hills shaped a global adventure sport.
The display will be hosted at Keswick Museum until August 31 2026.
