During this workshop, students will learn how to cut glass into summery shapes, wrap the edges with adhesive copper foil and solder the pieces together to make attractive sun catchers.
What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
At the beginning of the course, students will be shown how to cut glass safely. They will choose a design and cut out the pieces. Students will be shown how to wrap the edges of the glass with adhesive copper foil and how to solder the pieces together.
Students may bring their own designs, although designs will also be provided.
All tools and materials are provided, although there is an additional cost for the materials. Students will take home their pieces at the end of the day.
