About

Ideal for family or group holidays, Broad How is a large 1830's stone building, built where the poet Wordsworth planned to build his ideal home. A beautiful house, sensitively modernised, spotlessly clean, with all the features that give a friendly, warm family atmosphere.

Sleeping up to 14 in comfort in its seven bedrooms [plus 2 on extra folding beds, or in the dual-purpose garden room]. The twin rooms have comfortable vintage Heals 3-foot beds which can be pushed together to make grand doubles.  Each room has a character of its own, and they have names which are taken from landmarks of the area.

Log fire, large windows, several sitting rooms, 2 pianos, pool table, 2 DVD players, PlayStation 2, freeview TV, music, books, maps and guides and telephone with free calls to landlines. The spectacular kitchen, recently refitted, with electric Rangemaster, now seats 16. Generously centrally heated, ample hot water. Stunning scenery, 0.5 mile from Ullswater, marvellous fell walking. In an acre of grounds, with garden furniture and playground for small children.

Two pianos, 1 acoustic, 1 digital. House set in 1 acre of land. Broadband with wireless network. half a mile from Ullswater, steamer, sailing and boat hire. Tennis, 1 mile. Pub, shop and hotel 400 metres. House situated on Wainwrights coast-to-coast route. Built on land once owned by Wordsworth.
