With hand-crafted interiors, each heated and super-insulated shepherd’s hut offers comfy king-size beds, stylish kitchens and a private shower room – camping without the inconvenience!
Named after native flora & fauna found at the Coppermines Conservation Area located right next to the shepherd’s huts, each lodge has been designed to offer an exceptional glamping holiday.
Truly an incredible setting for a Lake District holiday, guests can enjoy stunning hikes, off-road cycling trails and wild-swimming in beautiful waterfalls. Plus, Coniston Water is also within walking distance – ideal for those who enjoy canoeing or paddle-boarding.

Inside each lodge there is a feature king-size bed, private bathroom with powerful, mains pressure shower, basin and toilet, a kitchenette with combination oven microwave, hob, fridge, kettle and toaster, a dining table and chairs for two, plus a comfy sofa for relaxing evenings admiring the views plus a Smart TV.
Each lodge has been super-insulated to ensure they are exceptionally warm & cosy throughout the cooler months, so you can enjoy an escape within nature all year round.
Outside there is a decked area with garden furniture for morning coffees or evening drinks beneath the stunning panorama of stars, trees and mountain tops. Enclosed garden area to rear.

Located on the outskirts of Coniston village, the Coniston Shepherd Hut lodges are located at Dixon Ground, next to the footpath leading to Coniston Old Man. From the village centre, head up Station Road and at The Sun Inn, take the lane alongside the pub signposted to Coniston Old Man. Continue ahead, just after the last building, the lodges are located on the left-hand side of the lane.
The lodges are located just 0.3 mile or an 8 minute walk from the 505 service bus stop in the centre of Coniston.
