Inn on the Square is a stylish, family-owned hotel in the heart of Keswick town centre, combining modern Scandinavian-inspired design with plenty of Cumbrian character.

Road Directions

We have a limited number of secure, off-road garage spaces behind the hotel, available for £12 per night. Pre-booking is essential by calling 017687 73333. Car park postcode: CA12 5LW.

Public parking is available around two minutes’ walk away at Otley Road Car Park (CA12 5DF) or Central Car Park. Discounted parking is £7 per day for direct bookings or £12 per day for third-party bookings.

Please provide your vehicle registration at check-in so we can issue a digital parking permit. Permits expire at 12pm on your departure day and are limited to one per bedroom.

You’re welcome to pull up behind the hotel first to drop off your bags before moving your car to the public car park.

Public Transport Directions

Inn on the Square is easy to reach without a car. The nearest railway station is Penrith North Lakes, around 18 miles from Keswick. From the station, the Stagecoach X4 and X5 buses run directly to Keswick Bus Station, with the journey taking around 45 minutes.

Keswick Bus Station is by Booths supermarket and is just a few minutes’ walk from Inn on the Square in Market Square. Local bus services also make it easy to explore the Lake District during your stay, including routes towards Borrowdale, Grasmere and other popular destinations.

Taxis are also available from Penrith North Lakes station and within Keswick for guests who would prefer a direct journey to the hotel.
