About

We’re sure that you will work up an appetite on your day out at Walby Farm Park so our café – ‘The Cowshed Café’ offers tasty home-cooked dishes made with locally produced ingredients – and all in a great setting in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside.

The café is open 7 days a week and situated next to the children’s play area, overlooking our animal paddocks and surrounding countryside.

Perfect for a morning breakfast roll, coffee and cake, snacks, lunches or early evening suppers.  We also have a kids menu and picnic boxes to keep even the fussiest eaters happy!

In addition, our Piglets’ Pantry serves hot and cold drinks, light snacks and ice creams – a quick option on busier days.

Eat inside or out – enjoy our decking and seating area in warmer weather.

More about Walby Farm Park

Walby Farm Park is an award-winning farm visitor attraction, with daily farm activities, animal shows, outdoor adventure play and Cumbria's largest indoor play area for all the family to enjoy!

Explore our outdoor adventure play area, with Walby's Wacky Golf, JCB Dig & Play giant sand pit, trampolines, pedal go-karts and tractors, animal paddocks, seasonal maize maze and tractor & trailer ride around the farm’s nature trail. Additional charges apply to our Mini Land Rovers, Baa-rmy Barrel Train rides and Electric Mini-Quads.

If the Cumbrian weather is against us, we have plenty to keep you entertained indoors – dare you try our demon drop slide, meet our friendly animals in the animal barn, or have fun in our Roman Fort Milecastle62.

In addition, we hold Seasonal Events at various points throughout the year (ticket costs may vary). Join us for 6 weeks of Summer Fun on the Farm, Pumpkin Picking at Halloween, and the renowned Father Christmas on the Farm - to name a few! For more information on upcoming events, visit our website.

The café, and the majority of the Farm Park, is pushchair and wheelchair friendly. Please read our Access Statement here: https://www.walbyfarmpark.co.uk/info/accessibility/
