About

Our Head Chef, Scott Fairweather leads a talented team of chefs, producing a local Cumbrian menu which offers something for everyone. From the Kitchen, Scott and his team offer freshly prepared locally sourced food, which is driven by seasonality. Our aim is to provide something for everybody on a menu which is creatively put together and inspired by our pub surroundings.
We are proud to have built strong relationships with some of Cumbria’s best producers who ensure we can deliver the best ingredients in our own unique way.
All of our food is freshly made which enables us to cater for all special dietary requirements and food allergies along with alternative vegetarian options.

We work closely with our local suppliers to ensure we take advantage of the freshest produce on a daily basis.

Please note we regularly make seasonal changes to our menu and therefore some ingredients may change.
Food offerings are available throughout the day including Judith’s meringues & cakes in our bar, lounge & restaurants. Groups and functions can be personally catered for by our Team, please ring for details.

Either of our beautifully restored and decorated restaurants are perfect for a private function for any occasion. We can seat up to 44 in our two restaurants and a total of around 90 throughout. We offer a bespoke menu to suit individual requirements from an informal buffet to a formal banquet
