No visit to the Lakes is complete without a trip to Keswick Museum, situated in our beautiful arts & crafts home in Fitz Park since 1898.

Combining immersive digital technology with the landscapes and stories of Cumbria, 'Outside In' offers a unique way to experience the Lakes, whatever the weather. Located in the heart of Keswick, this interactive exhibition is perfect for families, visitors and anyone looking for a memorable museum experience in the Lake District.
Outside In is regularly updated, offering new experiences throughout the year. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, there’s always something new to discover.

We are located on the edge of Fitz Park on Station Road, where there is free disk parking for 2 hours. A parking disk (provided in boxes on Station Road) must be clearly displayed in your vehicle.
There are also Pay & Display car parks behind the Leisure Centre (100m), across the park on Crosthwaite Road (300m) and in the centre of Keswick (400m).
By Bus Service X4/5: Workington to Penrith. This service stops along Penrith Road and it is then a quick walk through the park to us. Service 555: Lancaster to Keswick. This service also stops along Penrith Road and it is then a quick walk through the park to us. Service 87: Keswick to Seatoller. This service will stop at the bus station location at Booths shop, Tithebarn Street, taking a 15 minute walk to the museum via the main street.
By Train The nearest train stations are Workington and Penrith, where connections to bus routes to Keswick (see above) can be picked up.
