You are here: Home > Things to Do > Scrambling near Coniston with More Than Mountains
Half way between hill walking and rock climbing, scrambling is a great way to ascend a mountain taking on the challenge of using your hands and feet to climb steeper sections of rocky terrain. As the exposure mounts we will use a rope to keep you safe and can vary the level of difficulty to give you a great introduction to an exciting new sport.
Coniston is the perfect venue for a half day introduction to scrambling. There are three routes we use depending on the weather and the level of challenge! Scrambling is suitable for individuals, couples, families and small groups. You could also combine the day with some rock climbing or abseiling as your head for heights gains confidence.
A half day costs £140 and a full day £180. The maximum ratio on our scrambling days is 1:4.
