Join tapestry artist Anna Wetherell for a hands-on workshop exploring the techniques of shape building and colour blending in woven tapestry. Weather permitting, we'll begin with a short walk to the bridge below Farfield Mill to gather inspiration from the subtle seasonal colours in the landscape. This workshop is the first in a series of three focused on colour techniques in tapestry weaving, though there is no requirement to attend all three sessions—each workshop stands alone. Perfect for beginners and those wishing to develop their skills.
Bring your own equipment if you have it, but there will also be looms warped up ready to go and a range of weft yarn for you to use. Additional equipment will be available for sale, should you wish to continue weaving after the workshop day (up to around £75).
