Our popular Introduction to outdoor swimming course takes place at either Rydal Water or Waterhead, Ambleside. The morning session is ideal for those who are new to outdoor swimming. It aims to enhance your knowledge and boost your confidence while teaching you the essential skills needed for wild swimming.

All swimmers are welcome, and you can choose any stroke you prefer: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke or butterfly.

You can also join us for a full day of swimming and walking on our Adventure Swim Days, or extend your visit with one of our Adventure Swimming Mini-Breaks. For those new to the sport, we run popular Introduction to Open Water Swimming courses, as well as outdoor swim safety courses.
Our outdoor swimming shop in Ambleside is stocked with essential equipment and swimwear, and we offer a wetsuit fitting service to help you find the perfect fit.
