Keswick Film Festival is Cumbria's premier cinematic event, bringing the best in international and independent cinema from across the world. We are also proud to call ourselves the friendly film festival, run by a team of volunteers dedicated to creating a wonderful experience for Festival goers.
This year we have over 40 Films and documentaries, guest speakers and fringe events. We have world premieres, award winners and Oscar nominations. As usual we have an eclectic programme - edge of the seat thrillers and dramas, powerful and inspiring documentaries and laugh out loud and heartwarming movies for all the family to enjoy. We also have the quirky for people who like something different! Where else can you see a sheep at disco.
Our Cumbrian roots are always close to our heart. We are delighted to welcome filmmakers showcasing Cumbrian life and promote new talent from the region.
Films are screened at three brilliant venues: the historic and legendary Alhambra Cinema and the atmospheric and beautiful setting of the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick and the vibrant Rheged near Penrith.
We are delighted to welcome all who share our love of film to visit the Festival and offer great value passes and concessions for young people, students and families.
