Lakes in a Day Half Distance Run
23 miles, 850m ascent – Want the excitement of being part of Lakes in a Day but without so much of the navigation element or the high mountains? This half distance trail option takes you on a journey from the bustling Lake District Town of Ambleside to the quieter village of Cartmel. All the fun of the longer distance event but on a fully waymarked route.

Follow the western shoreline of Lake Windermere taking in Claife Heights and Bigland Tarn. This scenic introduction to the full event starts at 2.30pm when you will join the full distance runners on their epic journey.
