"Meet the Moon" Talks with Stuart Atkinson

During Museum of the Moon, we are delighted to welcome Stuart Atkinson to the Cathedral for a series of fascinating space-themed talks and guided tours of the Moon. Stuart is a nationally recognised astronomy writer, outreach educator, amateur astronomer and author of numerous astronomy books for young people and families. He is a regular contributor to BBC Sky at Night Magazine, has written extensively about space exploration and astronomy, and is widely known for his enthusiastic public engagement work, inspiring people of all ages to explore the wonders of the night sky.

During his visit, Stuart will guide visitors on a journey across the lunar surface and offer the unique opportunity to quite literally "stand on the Moon" all be it behind a sheet of safety glass, thanks to his large sample of genuine lunar rock.
