Spring Fibre Art Landscape Workshop with Wendy Ann Stanger
Thursday 30 April 2026
£70 + £10 materials (payable on the day)
Join Studio Artist Wendy Ann Stanger for a creative introduction to fibre art with a special focus on designing your own botanical landscape. Working with a beautiful selection of natural plant fibres — including linen, cotton, nettle, rose, and bamboo — you'll explore how different textures and tones can be layered to form depth, horizon lines, and natural scenery.
Wendy Ann will guide you through how to press and dry flowers to use within fibre artwork, and a variety of pressed flowers will be available for you to incorporate into your landscape. You'll learn how to build up foregrounds, mid-grounds, and skies, using fibres and flowers to achieve colour, structure, and movement.
During the workshop, you will create several smaller sample pieces to practise techniques, which can later be turned into cards or gifts, before progressing to one larger landscape composition that you will mount on canvas to take home.
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to explore a new, nature-inspired art form.
