Motivated to create music that would stand the test of time, Glaswegian singer/songwriter Chris Thomson created The Bathers in 1994 and proceeded to create and release seven albums of beautifully crafted, cinematic pop, including the stripped back and powerful Sweet Deceit and the luscious Kelvingrove Baby.
The music press has struggled to find a convenient phrase to describe the sound of The Bathers, but 1970s era Bowie, Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Van Morrison are often referenced.
