The Presbytery in Coniston was built in the mid 1800's and has now been successfully converted into a sizable, three-storey holiday cottage.
It is exceptionally spacious, is great for large family groups and those wishing to explore the outdoors on foot, bicycle or boat. There's a dedicated bike store plus walks and biking immediately from the door including along the old railway, which provides a very pleasant level walk into the village. From here is direct access to both the fells and the lake.
The main entrance leads you into the bright, well-equipped kitchen. Here you will find everything you need to store and prepare food during your holiday, with ample cupboard space, electric hob, microwave, large American style fridge/ freezer with ice-dispenser as well as a large gas range cooker with double oven and a 6 burner gas hob. Also included in the kitchen is a dishwasher, washing machine and breakfast seating for up to 7 guests.
From the kitchen a large hallway leads to the grand sitting room, with high ceilings, a traditional open fire, comfortable seating and spectacular views from the traditional sash windows. There is also a large TV. Leading off the sitting room is a generous dining area, with huge table and ample bench seating - ensuring that everyone has plenty of space to dine together after a wonderful day exploring everything the local area has to offer.
Also off the hallway is a handy downstairs shower room complete with W.C.
First floor
From the ground floor a grand staircase leads to a spacious landing, complete with a seating area, leads four comfortable bedrooms and two house bath/shower rooms.
Bedroom 1: Double bed.
Next door to bedroom 1 is a bathroom with modern tiling, bath and W.C.
Bedroom 2: Three single beds, lake view.
Bedroom 3: 1 double bed, 1 single bed, lake views and en suite shower room with W.C.
Bedroom 4: 1 double bed, 1 single bed
Next door to bedroom 4 is a further shower room with W.C.
Another staircase takes you even further up inside this substantial home.
Second floor
Bedroom 5: 1 double bed and 2 single beds with stunning lake view, en-suite shower room and W.C..
Bedroom 6: 1 double bed and 1 single bed with en-suite shower room and W.C.
Outside there's a large garden with grassed area, seating and picnic tables with benches.

We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement only. Please contact the office for availability.
