Glamping at the Quiet Site, Ullswater

We offer four different types of Glamping at The Quiet Site:

Camping Pods (Sleeps 2 adults) – Our Camping Pods at The Quiet Site are timber built, insulated huts and are designed to be used just like a tent.  However, unlike a tent, they’re completely ready for you to move into when you arrive on our small holiday park.  With no tent to erect or pack away in the rain, your holiday has just become a lot less stressful! Light, heater and lockable door.

Glamping Burrows (Sleeps 2 adults + 4 children) –large underground living spaces with amazing views over the Ullswater valley.  Each Glamping Burrow is superbly insulated, energy efficient, secure and virtually invisible in our gorgeous Lake District landscape unless you know where to look. WC, small kitchen, large covered deck.

Gingerbread Houses (Sleeps 2 adults + 4 children) - In line with our sustainable ethos at our small holiday park, our large Gingerbread Houses are energy positive Shower,WC, small kitchen, large covered deck and excellent view.

Glamping Cabins (sleeps 2 adults) - offer a touch of luxury while allowing you to experience the best of outdoor living in the heart of the Lake District.  Sprung double bed, gorgeous cotton sheets, duvet and pillows, WC, basin, shower and towels, Simple kitchen including plates, cups, cutlery, bowls, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and sink, Large covered, outside wooden deck with picnic table or table and chairs.

About the Quiet Site:

The Quiet Site is a family-run site situated in a secluded position amongst the stunning fells that overlook Lake Ullswater.

This is a superbly maintained and very picturesque site, the facilities being housed mainly in old converted farm buildings.

There are many beautiful walks that you can start from right outside the Quiet Site and numerous activities and attractions a very short drive away.

The site is in an ideal position for touring both the North and South Lakes by car.

We are easily accessible from the M6, jct 40 and the charming market town of Penrith, both of which are only 7 miles away.

It's not surprising that 80% of our visitors have stayed with us before.
