Great days out - Grizedale Forest

Forestry England’s Grizedale Forest is a special place, one that inspires, exhilarates, and rejuvenates those who visit.

Set in the heart of the Lake District National Park – a UNESCO world heritage site – Grizedale Forest is a forest of firsts. It was the first place in the UK to develop art in the landscape - giving its legacy as ‘the UK’s first forest for sculpture’ and the first place in the North of England to have a purpose-built mountain bike trail.
