Spring sees a whole host of events take place in the Lake District, Cumbria. Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake hosts a stage production of powerful coming of age story, Kes, based on the much loved novel and film. Step back to Roman times at UNESCO World Heritage Site Hadrian’s Wall: the #HW1900 festival is taking place throughout the year, and celebrates 1900 years since the iconic Roman Frontier was created.

The peaceful Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve sees the return of its resident ospreys from Africa; you can see seals on the South Walney Nature Reserve; fulmars and herring gulls begin to gather on the cliffs of the St Bees Head nature reserve; and there are stunning sunsets across our two coastal Areas of Natural Beauty: Arnside & Silverdale, and the Solway Coast.
