At a glittering ceremony held at The Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, Cumbria, this July the Cumbria Tourism Awards winners were crowned. In celebration, we’re running through our bucket list of winners – and today, it’s the turn of our amazing accommodation providers.
With so many fantastic hotels across the Lake District, Cumbria, it was impossible to recognise just one - so both the Large and Small hotel of the year categories feature main winners as well as a highly commended.
Linthwaite House

The Large Hotel of the Year award went to Linthwaite House: a contemporary country house hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere, overlooking Windermere. Stylish, individually designed rooms welcome guests to relax and get away from it all.
