About

Create unique memories that last a lifetime with England’s ONLY Mine Climbing experience.

Forged along the original Honister mine path, discover previously hidden secret caverns as you adventure through the historic mine.

Adrenaline blended with fun means this is the ultimate ‘day out’.

Adrenaline filled adventure inside the belly of a Lake District mountain, ‘Climb the Mine’ is the only one of its type in England.

Follow the route old miners used to take to mine the legendary slate. Complete vertical climbs, rope-bridge crossings and steel ladder ascents. The weather-proof experience allows you to be led deep underground to exploring a secret world. Full of hidden passages and magnificent caverns where miners used to mine slate.

Climb into the mine, delve into a previously unseen part of the cavern to experience what miners used to over 100 years ago, from a brand new perspective. The finale sees you cross the mountains underground incline stretching all the way up to the working mine. And eventually emerge triumphant to a spectacular view of one of England’s highest mountain passes.
