About

Discover Herdy, the cheerful character brand inspired by the much-loved Herdwick sheep that have roamed the fells of the Lake District for centuries. Born in the heart of Cumbria, Herdy brings a little piece of the Lakes to life through vibrant designs, playful products, and thoughtful gifts created to brighten everyday moments.

Visit our Kendal shop, which is also home to our headquarters, and explore our collection of colourful homeware, accessories, clothing, and gifts. Whether you’re looking for a ewe-nique Lake District souvenir, a special present, or something to bring a smile to your own home, you’ll find plenty of joyful designs to choose from.

As a brand rooted in the local landscape, we’re passionate about giving back to the place that inspires us. Through the Herdy Fund, we support charities and community projects across the Lake District, helping to protect and celebrate this very special part of the world.

The Kendal shop also features a dedicated Herdysleep section, where visitors can try our luxurious mattresses made with locally sourced Herdwick wool, along with our British-made white wool bedding. It’s the perfect place to discover the comfort and natural benefits of wool while celebrating one of the Lake District’s most iconic breeds.

The Herdy Kendal Shop is open Monday–Saturday, 10:00am–5:30pm.

Accessibility: The store has large double doors for entry, with one step required to access the shop.
