We work with more than 70 producers within a 30-mile radius of Tebay Services.

As a farming business we are proud to belong to a community of producers. Our Farmshop brings together food and lifestyle products crafted with skill and integrity. We make them ourselves and source them from dedicated makers who use real ingredients and authentic techniques.

Everything we sell is the best we can find and we always look locally first. Our buyers seek out the most exceptional bakers, brewers, piemakers, potters, cheesemakers, coffee roasters and soap makers from our locality and beyond.

Some of our producers have been with us since the beginning. We nurture new businesses and help them grow. We work with established producers to develop new products. Our Farmshop is always evolving, always innovating, always the place to find something different.

Butcher's Counter

At the heart of the Farmshop is our butchers’ counter. Here, our trained butchers sell native-breed beef, lamb and Herdwick mutton from our Farm, a mile away. They hand-press burgers and make Cumberland sausages using Cumbrian pork, which they sell alongside free-range poultry and seasonal wild game. Our butchers and their apprentices practise whole-animal butchery, an endangered craft skill. They offer a wide range of cuts, traditional and modern, and can cut to your exact specifications from whole ribs, loins, shoulders and other primals.

Deli Counter

Our deli counter brings together a wealth of innovative and skilful food producers in its tempting spread of handmade pies, pastries, Scotch eggs and savouries. We’ve found the finest hand-dressed olives and the pick of British charcuterie to inspire picnics, deli boards and simple lunches full of local character

Cheese Counter

The Farmshop team takes great pride in its cheese counters, which display a diverse range of handmade and award-winning specialities from the UK and Europe. Our buyers work closely with local and regional makers of farmhouse and raw-milk cheeses unique to their seasons and landscapes.

Lifestyle

By seeking out the most creative, talented and authentic makers, our buyers create a dynamic range of clothing, homewares, toys and wellbeing products you’d be unlikely to find elsewhere – including natural skincare and home fragrances handmade in the Lake District exclusively for us.
