Colour Blending and Weft Bundling in Woven Tapestry with Anna Wetherell
£70 plus £5 for materials
Come and explore techniques for colour blending and shifting apparently seamlessly from one colour to another, taking inspiration from the colours of the season or from what attracts you from the colours on the table. We will also look at different ways to bundle our wefts, exploring the effects of adding a complementary colour, or contrasting light and dark within our weft bundles, along with experimenting with the effect of placing the yarns in our weft bundle deliberately rather than allowing them to land where they will. Suitable for beginners and improvers.
Bring your own equipment if you have it, but there will also be looms warped up ready to go and a range of weft yarn for you to use. Equipment will be available for sale, should you wish to continue weaving after the workshop day (up to around £75).
