Create a beautiful and practical foraging basket from natural willow in this hands-on weaving workshop with skilled basket maker Jackie Carnell.
During the day, you'll learn traditional willow weaving techniques as you shape and weave your own unique handmade basket, designed especially for foraging adventures, gathering flowers, or carrying everyday essentials. Jackie will guide you through each stage of the process, from forming the base to weaving the sides and adding a sturdy handle.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some creative experience. With step-by-step guidance, you'll enjoy a mindful and rewarding day working with natural materials and traditional craft techniques.
You'll leave with a completed willow foraging basket to use and treasure, along with new weaving skills you can continue to develop at home.
