We are delighted to welcome Hot Aire Concert Band organised as part of the Free Live Music Series at Carlisle Cathedral.

While entry to our concerts is complimentary, we encourage contributions during the collection at the end of each performance to support both the talented artist and the Cathedral. Your generosity will help us continue to bring such enriching events to the community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hot Aire! Concert Band are delighted to be able to play their vibrant uplifting music for the lovely people of Carlisle in this amazing setting for one concert only!

Taking their name from the River Aire, Hot Aire! is a community concert band based in Shipley, West Yorkshire. With over 35 players we have a unique sound created by an unusual combination of woodwind, brass and percussion enhanced by the addition of keyboard and electric guitars! Previous engagements have included charity concerts in aid of BBC Children in Need, Marie Curie and for the People of Ukraine. Performances in 2025 included Bradford City of Culture events, the prestigious RHS Harrogate Flower Show and a tour of Rhineland, Germany.

We are proud to have a wide repertoire, playing music from the movies to well-loved hits from the musicals and pop from across the decades. There’s something for the whole family!
