Come and enjoy a wonderful day of weaving with Jan Beadle on a 4 shaft table loom creating a lovely scarf or wall hanging inspired by colours in the landscape. Whether you're a beginner or already a weaver, this will be a lovely opportunity to experiment with colour and texture and go home with a herringbone tweed scarf. Jan will even take the mystery out of pattern reading.
Each attendee will have the use of their own 4 shaft table loom for the day which will be set up and ready to go!
During the course you will learn:
– Learn to use a 4 shaft table loom.
– Experiment with colour and texture through weaving.
– Understand basic 4 shaft patterns.
– Learn finishing techniques.
Please note that weaving on a table loom involves some hand dexterity and upper body movement when using the loom and shuttle. Much of the workshop takes place seated at a table loom for periods of time. We want everyone to feel comfortable and supported during the workshop, so please do get in touch in advance if you would like to discuss any individual requirements or accessibility needs.
