The Swim to Devils Chimney is another one of our favourite island-hopping adventures, this time on Ullswater. With it's 'Big Lake' exposure and dramatic views this exciting swim requires a good level of fitness… anything can happen on the way to Devil's Chimney!

Whether you're dipping your toe in with a taster session, swimming out to an island, or enjoying a gentle river float on a guided wild swim, there's something for everyone. You can also join us for a full day of swimming and walking on our Adventure Swim Days, or extend your visit with one of our Adventure Swimming Mini-Breaks. For those new to the sport, we run popular Introduction to Open Water Swimming courses, as well as outdoor swim safety courses.
Our outdoor swimming shop in Ambleside is stocked with essential equipment and swimwear, and we offer a wetsuit fitting service to help you find the perfect fit.
