Whatever the season, there’s always something on in Cumbria. Up and down the county, we’ve got a vibrant array of fantastic events taking place on a regular basis – so you’re sure to find something to enjoy, no matter when you’re visiting.
Why not experience a live concert, an evening at the theatre, or a photography exhibition? This is an area packed with arts and culture, and there are plenty of places to discover this side of the county. Museums, galleries, theatres and more can be found up and down Cumbria, hosting some world-renowned names alongside our fantastic local talent.
In Carlisle and Cartmel, you can enjoy a day at the races; while festivals take place throughout the year, celebrating everything from beer to food; music to literature.
Local markets are held in towns and villages across Cumbria: from Sedbergh’s Artisan Markets in the summer months, to Christmas markets throughout the festive season.
