About

Another Place, The Lake is a relaxed, convivial hotel on the shores of Ullswater from where you can explore the great outdoors. At the heart are good food, fresh air and relaxation. From the pool with the lake view to the blend throughout of old and new, the hotel connects you with the elements in style and comfort.

Woven into the Lake District landscape are 40 bedrooms, including a number of family suites and dog-friendly rooms. Most rooms have views of Ullswater to the fells beyond, while all rooms mix original and historic features with simple lines and modern accents.

In Swim Club there's a warm, 20-metre pool, a sauna, treatment rooms, a cardio room and a hot tub where you can relax or be active. Outdoors, with instructors on hand, you can go open-water swimming, sailing, cycling and walking. Even skiing is available in winter. Ullswater and the fells are made for adventure.

Great food is at the heart of Another Place, from casual meals in The Living Space to dinner in the restaurant and summer drinks on the terrace. The Lake is a place for coming together round a table or for eating well outside round a fire pit.

Throughout the hotel are gathering spaces designed for bringing people together. You can have your wedding, party or private dinner here. The exceptional location and warm atmosphere make the hotel ideal for intimate celebrations.
