Walk in Poe and Tilly's Footsteps... and follow the mark.
Explore the locations that inspired M.W. Craven's bestselling detective series and celebrate the launch of The Killer's Mark.
Celebrate the launch of The Killer's Mark by M.W. Craven with a self-guided mystery trail through the heart of Carlisle.
Follow the clues as you explore the city that inspired the bestselling Poe and Tilly series. Along the way you'll visit a range of locations across Carlisle city centre, collecting stamps and solving puzzles before reaching the final destination.
The trail takes approximately 1 hour to complete (not including any stops), and you can begin any time between 10am and 4pm.
How it works:
Start your investigation at Pie Demand in Carlisle Railway Station.
Collect your stamp card and first clue.
Follow the trail through Carlisle city centre, solving clues and collecting stamps at each stop.
Finish the trail at the final destination to complete your investigation.
There will be plenty of opportunities to pause for a coffee, lunch or a browse in the city's cafés, pubs and independent shops along the route, so you're welcome to take your time and enjoy the day.
As an extra reward, the first 30 people to complete the trail will receive an exclusive goody bag at the finish.
Whether you're a long-time fan of Poe and Tilly or discovering M.W. Craven's books for the first time, this is a great opportunity to experience Carlisle in a whole new way.
We look forward to seeing you on the trail!
