You are here: Home > Accommodation > Derwentwater at The Lingholm Estate
Derwentwater is a stunning first-floor apartment created from the former billiards room on the north side of the estate's Grade II listed Victorian house.
Enjoy breathtaking views across the lake and surrounding fells from the light-filled open-plan living and dining area. Large glass doors flood the space with natural light and open onto a private balcony overlooking Derwentwater. The separate kitchen is fully equipped for a comfortable self-catering stay.
Just off the living area is a flexible ensuite bedroom, which can be arranged as twin beds or a super king. Like the living room, it also has direct access to the balcony. Above the living space, nestled within striking pitch-pine beams, is an impressive mezzanine sleeping loft featuring a king-size bed and its own ensuite facilities.
The apartment is entered at ground level via a tiled hallway with a convenient laundry area.
Guests also enjoy access to the estate’s beautiful grounds and lakeshore, just a short stroll from the house.
Please note: The apartment is accessed via one flight of stairs with a turn midway. The mezzanine level is reached by a second staircase, also with a turn. The mezzanine bedroom overlooks the main living area and is open to it; however, it includes a private ensuite/dressing room and a dressing screen for additional privacy.
